Lyten completes the transactions regarding Northvolt
On 6 August 2025, the bankruptcy estate of Northvolt AB, Northvolt Ett AB and Northvolt Labs AB entered into a sale and purchase agreement regarding the main assets in said bankruptcies. Mikael Kubu, Ackordscentralen, is appointed as bankruptcy trustee in said bankruptcies.
In connection therewith, the bankruptcy estate of Northvolt Ett Expansion AB entered into an asset transfer agreement. Jonas Premfors, DLA Piper, is appointed as bankruptcy trustee in the bankruptcy regarding Northvolt Ett Expansion AB.
Lyten has now completed said transactions and the legal title to the assets have been transferred to Lyten. Lyten has already, in essence, taken over the employees who have been employed by the bankruptcy estates. Accordingly, the business and the assets have now completely been transferred to Lyten.
The bankruptcy administration is very pleased with the fact that the transfer has taken place with a buyer who intends to restart and develop the business operations conducted by Northvolt as a winding-up of the business would have been detrimental to the creditors and all of the stakeholders.
